New Year, new home: 2017 brings 48 new homes for Waterlooville’s retired community

Posted on 02nd Mar 2017

Waterlooville’s retired population is set to benefit from a newly finished development this year, as MHA Wellesley Court, on Augur Row off Hambledon Road, starts the new year with open doors, fully complete and ready to welcome residents.

Building work on the site was completed in December and care and catering staff are now also in place. The development comprises 48 one and two bedroom apartments available for purchase. Wellesley Court also offers a residents’ bistro and activities room, a hair and beauty salon, landscaped gardens and a roof terrace.

It is hoped that the development will enable more retirees from the area to stay close to family in later life, as well as attracting over-60s from the surrounding area in Hampshire as well as further afield.

Sarah Gazard, senior community living advisor at MHA Wellesley Court, said: “2017 is going to be such an exciting year for us – we can’t wait to see the community we’ve laid the foundations for come to life.”

She added: “It’s also fitting that we’re ready to open the doors just as we start settling into the new year. Many people start thinking about moving to a new home in January and it can be a great chance to reflect on exactly what you want to get out of your next move. You never know – this could be the year you unlock the door to an exciting new chapter!”
